Another Easter Egg Hunt

My Sunday school class from church had an Easter egg hunt today. This time, I was an experienced hunter and knew what I was doing. I was determined and focused, and in the end, it paid off.

enjoying our treasures
Here I am with my good buddy, Kyle. We always have so much fun together.
Mommy wanted to take a picture, but I had better things to look at.

Working on My New Room

In a month or so, I'm going to move to my big boy room. Mommy and Daddy are working hard to get it ready, and I've been helping, too. Today, Daddy has been painting. The last picture shows what it used to look like. Daddy's going to paint it blue, and in a few weeks, my bunk beds will arrive. When my little brother gets older, we'll share this room. I can't wait!
Hmmm...this paint would be very fun to play with. Maybe I can get the can open.
Whew, all this work makes me tired. It's a good think I can take a nap while Daddy paints. Unfortunately, Mommy can't help too much this time.
Here's what the room used to look like. We'll show you what it looks like when Daddy is all done.

My Little Brother is Growing!

Some of you may be wondering how big my little brother is getting. Well, here he is inside of my mommy's tummy. He's definately starting to make his appearance. I like to give him hugs and talk about him when we drive past the hospital where we saw his ultrasound pictures. Mommy is feeling well although I do make her tired when I want to run around outside all day. I am looking forward to when my little brother comes out so we can play.

A Visit to Daddy's Office

Daddy used to work at a plant in Smyrna but now he works in the corporate headquarters downtown. Mommy and I went to visit him and eat lunch with him today. We had to park far from the building and walk across a very big walking bridge. I thought it was very exciting to walk over the river and see a barge and another boat.
After lunch, Daddy took me up to his office/cube to see where he spends his time working everyday. I met some of his co-workers, played on his computer, and said hello to everyone on his floor.
We decided to take the shuttle bus back to our car. This is what Daddy has to do everyday because there's not enough parking close to his building. I loved riding on the shuttle!!
I had a great time visiting Daddy at work and seeing what he experiences everyday. Mommy says she'll be very thankful when the new corporate headquarters are finished and Daddy only has to drive 5 minutes to work. Then, I can go eat lunch with him more often.

Yard Work with a little Bubbles for Fun

I helped Mommy and Daddy with a little yard work today.

My neighbor, Alanna, came over and played in the sandbox with me. Then, she got out her bubbles, and we had lots of fun. I got really dirty in the sandbox, but after I poured some bubbles on my shirt, I got soapy.

A Trip to the Zoo

Mommy and I went to the zoo with Hiroto, his mommy, and his little sister. We had a great time, and we did see lots of animals even though we didn't get any pictures with them. The zoo has a great play area, so that was a highlight of the trip. My favorite animal is the monkey. I loved to watch them swing from the trees and hear their funny noises.

Lunchbreak with Hiroto-we have lots of fun together!

More Pictures with Danny

Here's a picture of us with Danny and his mom.
Danny and I are saying goodbye. Can you tell we don't like to sit still for pictures?

My new friend, Danny

Yesterday, Mommy and Daddy took me over to meet some of their old friends from Daddy's grad school days. When Mommy and Daddy were friends with them the first time they lived in TN, Danny was only a baby. Now, he is four and a half and all grown up. He showed me lots of his robots and dinosaurs, and he told me the letter and number of the week. I think I could learn a lot by hanging out with Danny.
Here's a picture of all of them together in 2003. If you notice the date, the picture was taken almost exactly four years ago. A lot has changed in those four years.

Bye, Nana and Grandpa Sam!

Thanks for coming to visit, Nanny and Papa! I had a great time with you, and I'll miss you!

The Many Wonderful Things about My Son

I've been a little bit challenging for my mommy this past week-or at least that's what she said. I guess I've been testing the limits somewhat. Anyway, that's what toddlers my age do, right? She wanted to remind herself of all the things she loves about me and focus on the good things so she doesn't get discouraged. It was really Nana's idea-thanks, Nana! So, she's going to take it from here.

I love many things about you, Graham, and here are just a few:

1. I love the way you pat the seat next to you and say "Mama" gesturing me to be a part of your world.

2. I love your passion and energy-even though it wears me out sometimes. I'm thankful you get me off of the couch and into life more.

3. I love the way you love ice cream and keep asking for more. I love to share my ice cream with you.

4. I love the way I get teary eyed remembering all of the wonderful things about you.

5. I love how you treat your friends and family-so loving and affectionate.

6. I love how you wrestle with your friend, Kyle, and your cousin, Will.

7. I love how you run to me with full force almost knocking me over with your arms open wide.

8. I love how you want to pray for all of your family including your puppy.

9. I love how you hold your blanket in your fingers when you are getting ready to go to sleep.

10. I love seeing your little bottom in the air when I peak in on you at night.

11. I love how you remember little things like where we pick up Daddy's clothes from the cleaners.

12. I love being the one to calm you when you are sick or hurt.

13. I love being your mommy every day-even the hard days.

14. I love how you want to try new things and are so brave and daring.

15. I love watching you run around in a circle on the big mat at the Little Gym with a huge smile on your face. I love how the other kids see you and they smile and join you.

16. I love how your hair looks when you wake up in the morning - sticking up in every direction.

17. I love how you teach me and make me grow.

18. I love how you show me how much God loves me. You teach me about His patience, forgiveness, and grace.

I love you, Graham, and I am so thankful for you! Love, Mommy

A Sneak Peak at School

Mommy took me up to my neighbor's school today to eat lunch with her. It's where I will go to elementary school someday. I really like my neighbor, Alanna, and her friends are kind of cute, too. I think they liked me as well.

More Family Time

The book Nana was reading us is one of my favorites. Mommy and Uncle Tim must have really liked it as well.

Here are some more pictures of Nana's visit. Will came over with his parents for dinner on Sunday night. We had fun playing together in Daddy's tent and in the bathtub. I think our mommies are a little tired after we get together.

My First Easter Egg Hunt

Do you see the egg? I was too busy playing with the toys to look for eggs.

My neighborhood playgroup had an Easter egg hunt today. At first, I didn't really get it. Why would I want to look for plastic eggs? Then, I realized that some of the eggs had chocolate inside, and I really got into it. It was very fun until Mommy decided I had eaten enough chocolate, and it was time to go. Oh, well!

Family Time

Nana and Grandpa Sam came to my house to visit this weekend on their way to Michigan to see Grandpa's family. I'm always happy to see "Nanny and Papa"! They got to go to church with me today. After church, we met my cousin Will and his parents for lunch. Will and I have both been sick recently so we haven't gotten to see each other much. I'll have more pictures of Nanny and Papa's visit later.

A Weekend with Perpy

Mommy and I got to spend last weekend with Perpy while Daddy went on a trip with some of his friends from high school. Perpy took me to a children's museum that had all kinds of neat things. Some of my favorites were the playdough and a stage where you could try on costumes and dance around to the music. Perpy also took me and Mommy out to eat, to her church, and let me play in her yard. Thanks, Perpy, for a great visit! I love you and can't wait to see you again soon.

Bye Bye High Chair!

I kept trying to tell Mommy that I was done with the high chair, and I wanted to sit in my booster sit at the big table. She finally got the idea when I stood up in my high chair and fell onto the counter busting my lip. Oops! I'm happy to sit at the table with Mommy and Daddy now.
