Walking in a Winter Wonderland!

A few weeks ago, Daddy and Mommy took me to a special mall where they had lots of Christmas decorations. I had fun looking at all of the sights. Since then, we've all gotten sick at our house. First, Mommy and Daddy got a stomach bug and then I got a cold which turned into a ear infection. I think Mommy and Daddy might have gotten my cold. Hopefully, we'll be feeling better by Christmas.

Jesus is the Sweetest Gift of All!

Is this a cookie hanging on the tree? It looks like one, but it doesn't taste like one.

A Blast from the Past

What do you think of my stylish attire? This was Daddy's suit when he was a little boy a long time ago. Perpy saved it and brought it to me. I really liked wearing it. I think my Daddy was one stylish little guy just like me. What do you think, Perpy? Do I look as cute as my Daddy did?

Trolley Ride

My friend, Hiroto, and I rode the trolley with our mommies around the city of Franklin. The trolley picked us up at a hospital near our houses, took us through downtown, and dropped us off at the library. We were going to go to storytime but after my mommy saw how much energy I had, she opted for the park near the library. Hiroto and I had lots of fun chasing each other around the park. On the way home, I sat next to Hiroto and his mommy, and my mommy sat behind us. He is a good friend that I met in my neighborhood. He speaks Japanese and a little English. Maybe he can teach me some Japanese and I can teach him some English. I think I will start with the important words: tractor, puppy, and more. I miss my old friends from Michigan, but I'm glad I'm making new ones in Tennessee.

A Thankful Heart

Thank you, God, for family, friends, lawn mowers, and cranberry ice. We had a full house this year as we celebrated Thanksgiving. There were many wonderful things to eat that day, but I decided cranberry ice was the best (and only thing to eat). The recipe came from my great great grandmother.

Perpy (I call her Du-Jee) and Daddy
Andrew, Mommy's cousin, Mommy, Nana (I call her Nanny), and Uncle Tim
Grandpa Sam (Pa Pa) and Nana

Aunt Kimberly, Will, and Uncle Tim
One of my favorite activites lately is to push my lawn mower around the block. (Thanks, Jenn, for a great toy!) Nana joined me on my stroll down the street.

Grandpa...A.K.A. Pa Pa

Grandpa and MA came to visit the week after Thanksgiving. Since I've started giving everyone names I have made up, I called Grandpa "Pa Pa". It's much easier to say and everyone thinks it sounds cute. We had lots of fun together. One day Grandpa and Mommy took me to Pump it Up, a cool place with lots of inflatable slides and jumpy things. After Grandpa took me down a very big slide, I kept saying "mo" (more) and grabbing his hand so he would take me back up. He also took me on walks to look at the Christmas lights, let me practice driving his minivan (it actually didn't get out of park for those of you who are concerned), and read lots of books to me. Thanks, Grandpa, for all of the fun.

Good Reading Material?

I picked a book off of Daddy's shelf tonight for my bedtime story. It looked interesting, but it didn't really have many pictures. The pictures it did have were only in black and white. How boring is that? Daddy must have liked my choice though because he got excited and said that I picked a great book. Maybe someday I'll understand what he sees in that book. For now, I think I'll stick to books about puppies and trains.

Yard Work

Mommy thought it would be fun to see a picture of me last year at this time having fun in the leaves. I have really changed.

I helped Mommy and Daddy work in the yard on Saturday. They raked the leaves, and I helped by picking them up and putting them in the bag. Mommy said I was a big help.

Just taking a little break.

Mmmm...this stick tastes good. Mommy wants to know why I still put everything in my mouth. I told her life is more interesting that way.

Chocolate Cake anyone?

Mr. Perry and Miss Katie came over to eat dinner with us this weekend. They brought over a delicious chocolate cake which they shared with me. Boy, did I enjoy it! I got a little messy (to say the least), and they decided I shouldn't be the only one that had chocolate icing on my face. Once they got messy too I just stared at them and wondered if they had gone crazy. Don't they know adults never get messy. That's silly!

Thanks for coming over and sharing the yummy cake, Mr. Perry and Miss Katie!

Sic 'Em Bears

Perpy came to visit and see me dressed up for Halloween. We always have lots of fun together. She brought me a Baylor shirt from BU Homecoming, so we had to get a picture together. She's teaching me to be green and gold through and through.

Little Cowboy

Mommy and Daddy took me trick or treating in my neighborhood. I mostly rode in the wagon and liked pulling the candy out of my bag and putting it in the wagon.
Here I am all dressed up for Halloween. The hat I'm trying on is my Daddy's. He wore it when he was a little boy.

Look at all my loot! Yeehaw! I struck it big. Unfortunately, I think Mommy and Daddy are going to eat the candy and just give me the bag of pretzels.

keeping warm

A few days this past week, it has been very cool outside. When I went outside to play, Mommy put on my new coat and hat. Now, whenever Mommy says we're going to go outside, I touch my head to remind her to put on my hat. She said it's not always cold enough to wear my hat, but I like to have it on. Don't I look cute? I'm thankful God made fall with the beautiful leaves that change colors. I'm also thankful for hats to keep me warm and pumpkins to say hello to. What a wonderful world God made.

Bathtime Bubbles!

I love when Daddy gives me a bath because he lets me have bubbles. Bubbles is one of my favorite words to say. Whenever Mommy or Daddy start to run the bath water, I open the cabinet, get out the bottle of bubbles, and bring it over to them. A bath without bubbles is just a bath, but a bath with bubbles is world of fun!

Baby Tucker

My good friends, Emma and Gretchen, have a new addition to their family-Tucker Daniel. Mommy, Daddy, and I are so excited for them and can't wait to meet Tucker. I'm so happy to have a boy to play with. Tucker and I will have fun helping our daddies work on their cars.

Welcome to the world, Baby Tucker. You are blessed to have a wonderful family who will show you lots of love.

A visit from friends

Uncle Joe and Auntie Marie were one of the first friends to welcome me into the world in Michigan. Now we live far away but we still have fun when we see each other. Now that they have Madison, I have someone to play with.
Maddie and Graham dressed up for church
I really liked to give Maddie hugs and kisses. I also liked playing with her on the play gym or in the bouncy seat. Mommy told me to be gentle, and I really tried although sometimes, I think I may have bounced Maddie a little too much in the bouncy seat. I liked sitting in it myself too even though I am way too big for it.
I love you, Auntie Marie! Thanks for coming to visit. We will miss you all and look forward to our next visit together.

Happy Fall, Y'all!

This weekend, some good friends from Michigan came to visit. We have had several visitors over the past few months, and we are very thankful they make the drive to come see us. It's been so much fun. This time, Uncle Joe and Auntie Marie came. They brought someone I had never met before-baby Madison. Let me tell you, I had a great time with Maddie! She was still in Auntie Marie's tummy when we left Michigan, but now she is four months old. Here are some pictures from a pumpkin farm we visited on Saturday.
Mommy holding Maddie-sometimes I got a little jealous when Mommy would hold her, but then I would help by bringing her a pacifier or her blanket.
Mommy and I in the corn maze
They had one of my favorite things-tractors!
Mommy, me, Maddie, and Auntie Marie
At the farm, there was so much to do. Here I am practicing my balancing skills on some hay.
